Amigos Por Vida – Friends For Life Public Charter School has developed policies to ensure that our school functions in compliance with all the law standards and requirements. Our policies reflect our guidelines, rules, acceptable behavior, and regulations. The parents, students, and staff input ensure what the school environment is sensitive, and welcoming and inclusive in order to provide safety for all on campus.
Amigos Por Vida – Friends For Life Public Charter School is committed to complying with the ESSA Act by providing yearly training for its staff. All employees complete 19 hours of Professional Development to ensure that we can better serve our families and students. Our training is done in partnership with Region 10 to ensure that we meet the highest standards of education and support
Title IX
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, also known as “Title IX”, is a federal law that prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs and activities. This law applies to all public and private elementary and secondary schools, school districts, colleges, and universities that receive federal funding. Sexual harassment and sexual violence, such as rape, sexual assault, sexual battery, and sexual coercion, are considered forms of sex discrimination under Title IX.
Amigos Por Vida – Friends For Life Public Charter Schools District employees received professional development training on Title IX from Region 10.
