Exponential Functions

Exponential functions are important because they can be used to model population growth, carbon date artifacts and other organic matter, help compute investments gains, as well as many other applications. The most common of Exponential Functions: population growth, exponential decay, and compound interest. Population Growth can be used to predict how fast a contagious disease can spread if it goes unchecked. Exponential Decay can be used to find the ages artifacts as well as to determine how long an organic specimen has been dead. Compound Interest if used to determine the future value of an account at a given interest rate.
